Linda Dawson, 75, of Wilson, AR passed away on Friday, November 8, 2024. She was born in Wilson on November 21, 1948 to William Eugene and Willie Lavone Duck. Linda was a member of the Wilson Methodist Church, the President of the Wilson Cooperative Club for over 10 years and the organizer of the Wilson Book Club. She worked as a librarian for the Mississippi County Library System in Wilson for 31 years and served as recorder/treasurer for the Wilson City Council for 15+ years. Linda was devoted to her family and enjoyed reading, gardening and community service. She was a huge advocate for the City of Wilson and the go-to person for the city's history. Linda is survived by her husband of 38 years, Steve Allen Dawson; daughter, Kimberly Barnes; step-daughter, Tara Beatty; grandchildren, Lindie Claire Barnes, Luke Barnes, Lainey Barnes, Megan Beatty, Madison Beatty; brother, Kenneth Duck (Lynn) and sister-in-law, Janie Duck. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Johnny Duck. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Le Bonheur in Memphis, Tennessee.
