It is with heavy hearts that the family of Linda (Huie) Burgess announces her passing on November 1, 2024 in Clinton. Linda or ''Meemaw'' as she was known to her loved ones, was born on July 31, 1943 to Orville and Delores Huie.

Meemaw lived a life full of love and joy. She dedicated her career to public education and enjoyed trips to the casino with her sweetheart. She could always find time for shopping and trying new restaurants or recipes. More than anything, she loved to be surrounded by her family. She was the center of our family and her absence is a profound loss.

She was preceded in death by her parents and twin sister, Glenda and by her husband and best friend, Johnny ''John'' Burgess.

She is loved and missed by son, Michael Burgess of Bald Knob; daughter, Kristi Burgess of Clinton; granddaughter, Nikki Burgess of Bald Knob; grandson, Scotty Burgess (Sarah) of Fayetteville; great-grandson McKinley Golden of Bald Knob; brother-in-law Dan Huie of Clinton; several nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends.

A memorial service to honor Linda's life will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Clinton.
