of Searcy, AR
September 14, 1934 - October 31, 2024
Lola D. Johnson, 90, of Searcy, Arkansas passed from this life into her Heavenly home that she has longed for on Friday, October 31, 2024 at The Crossing at the Riverside in Searcy. She was born on Friday, September 14, 1934 in Leachville, Arkansas to the late Joseph H. and Lillie Douglas Crawford. She was an active member of First Assembly of God Church in Searcy.
Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her parents; her two husbands, William Rogers and Autice Johnson and eight siblings, her twin sister, Ola Bee Crawford, Leona Edmundson, Ila Walls, E B ''Buck'' Crawford, Luther Crawford, Thelma Rauch, Eugene Crawford and Infant Baby Boy Crawford. Left to cherish her memory is her sister-in-law, Gladys Crawford; her nieces, nephews, other extended family and a host of friends.
Lola grew up in Leachville and graduated from Leachville High School where she played basketball. After High School she met and married Bill Rogers and shortly they moved to St. Louis, Missouri where she went to work for the Boeing Company. She worked as an Administrative Assistant until she retired. She moved back to Arkansas to be closer to her family after the death of her first husband, Bill.
Several years later, she met and married Autice Johnson. She loved spending time with her family and loved to travel and go camping with Autice and her sister and brother-in-law, Thelma and Ralph. She was very active in the Women's Group at Searcy First Assembly and she loved helping the ladies create mats and quilts for the missions group. She also volunteered in the Living Nativity as long as her health allowed.
Although Lola never had any children of her own, she enjoyed her nieces, nephews and extended family, but she had a special place in her heart for her beloved fur babies and cared for them over the years as if they were her kids. Rather at work or play, Lola always wanted to look her best. She was a gentle, classy lady that always had a huge smile for anyone she met. She loved to serve and help other people in any way that she could, she truly had a servant's heart.
In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to the Women's Ministries at Searcy First Assembly of God Church at 211 South Benton Street, Searcy, Arkansas, 72143.

She had a non blood daughter since that daughter’s birth. I am that person, that daughter. She was the best second mother a person could ever have and I was so honored to have her as mine.
You will forever be missed by me, Brian and all 5 of your grandbabies. I love you to heaven and back.
