Steve found his true gift in life when he began working for a local jeweler in town. He eventually went on to start his own successful jewelry business, which lasted for more than 30 years. Steve touched the lives of many people with his incredible jewelry work. He was able to share that talent with both of his sons.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any memorials be made to the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission in honor of Steve.
Steve was a wonderful friend to my parents and was like an uncle to me while growing up. I'm grateful to have known him. He will be missed for sure. Wishing his family much comfort at this time!
Steve was a guy you couldn't help but like. He had respect for all. He was always fair with me and treated me as if I was his only customer. We need more like my friend Steve. God Bless You my brother
You will truly be missed
I started working for Steve when he worked for Gordon's Jewelry and when he started Swaffar Jewelers. We were young, having fun and starting a friendship that lasted a lifetime. We have hunted and golfed all over. What a great and loyal friend! You will be missed. Praying for the family!
Prayers to the family. What a great man. He will be missed. I met Steve through my wife Magidah, he was a good friend and jewler. No more suffering, he is in a better place.

I’ve known the Swaffer family my entire life. I love them all and have many fond memories. Steve will be missed by so many. Thoughts and prayers going out to his entire family.
Steve was my oldest brother. And a great brother to me too! He was a hoot! A real funny guy! Always sweet, and kind to everyone. He always loved adventures, even as a kid. He loved to hunt all wild game, and fishing, was in his soul. He also loved being a great jeweler. But, what Steve loved, and was most proud of, was his 2 sons, Steven, and daughter in law, Taylor, and Sam, his youngest son. They also will carry on Steve’s legacy of hunting, fishing, and loving the jewelry business. Brother, you will be dearly missed, but now, you will suffer no more. Resting, in the arms of Jesus! Love you, Steve! Until we meet again!

RIP
My thoughts & prayers are with Steve’s family & friends. It has been many years since I have seen Steve. I met him during my years living in Conway. He has always remained a special person to me. I am heartbroken to read of his passing.
I met Steve almost 50 years ago. I started in the jewelry business at 16 in McCain Mall. He was at Gordon’s Jewelers doing repairs…. We stayed in touch here and there when he opened Swaffar Jewelers. David Moore, Steve and I would stroll down memory lane and the history of jewelers in the area.
So many good memories as a small part of his robust and fulfilled life. Condolences to his family and close friends.
I’ve known Steve for many many years. He was a great man and a great friend. Fly high buddy.
Steve has been a long time friend of ours, going way back to the days of playing softball together in our late teens and into our early twenties. Steve was not only a good friend, but our family jeweler for decades. We're relieved that he is whole again and no longer battling any physical challenges. He will be missed by all our family. We pray for comfort and peace to all Steve's family and friends, who we know will dearly miss his physical presence. Steve's spirit will continue to be with all those that he loved. Rest in peace my friend and brother.

Steve will be missed by many. He was a great jeweler and friend. My son, Brian, became a jeweler because Steve hired and taught him. What a patient man! He will be sorely missed.
