David L. Harmon

of Conway, AR

March 26, 1942 - October 24, 2024

David Lester Harmon was born on March 26, 1942 in St. Louis, Missouri to Daryll and Dollie Harmon. He lived in St Louis until marrying the love of his life, Bettye Sue (Davis) Harmon and moving to Conway, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Darlene Kreamalmeyer and Dorothy Ward. David worked at Bussman Fuse in St. Louis, Missouri before moving to Conway in 1975 with his wife and two daughters. He then got a job at Rock Tenn and worked there till he retired. David's most favorite thing in the world besides his family was serving the Lord and going to church. He loved the outdoors; when he was not at work or church he loved to be outside just tinkering with things, fishing and camping.

David is survived by his wife of 63 years, Bettye Harmon; two daughters, Pamela (Michael) Valley of Heber Springs, Kimberly (Jamon) Haynes of Conway; one sister, Donna Beeson of Sedalia, Missouri; brothers, Donald (Melinda) Harmon of Millstadt, Illinois, Danny (Brenda) Harmon of Conway; grandchildren, Bethany (Willie) Hawks, Lauren Haynes and Tyler (Kyrie) Haynes; great-grandchildren, Jeremiah Able and a great grand-daughter on the way, Kenleigh and Kaiden Welch; host of nieces, nephews and extended family to treasure happy memories of him.

The visitation will be at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier, Sunday, October 27, 2024 from 4:00-6:00PM. Funeral Service will be at 10:00AM Monday, October 28, 2024 at Roller McNutt with Rev. Bob Robinson officiating. The Burial will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park (471 US-64) as we lay his body to rest.

The pallbearers will be Tyler Haynes, Willie Hawks, Wayne Harmon, Benny Cook, Ellis Smithson and Mathew Laymon.

We would like to give a special thank you to Greenbrier Nursing and Rehab Center and all the nurses and caretakers, for all the love and care that you gave since he has been with you, to see that he was happy and comfortable as he made his journey from here to Heaven, we are forever grateful. God Bless you for your service.

Also, a special Thank You to Gentiva/Hospice in Conway for all the love and care given for several years, making sure he was happy and in the best health possible and most of all comfortable as his health began to decline. Our family will be forever grateful for all that you have done.
