of Conway, AR

April 19, 1976 - October 18, 2024

Jason Hagood, 48, of Conway, Arkansas passed away on October 18, 2024.
Jason was born on April 19, 1976. He proudly served his country as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps for six years, demonstrating his unwavering dedication and strength.
A true enthusiast of all things cars and motorcycles, Jason spent much of his time modifying his vehicles and enjoying the open road on his motorcycle. He was deeply involved in the Diamond State Punisher's LEMC, where he served as Vice President Treasurer. When he wasn't on the road, Jason enjoyed immersing himself in the worlds of Star Wars and Marvel, two of his favorite film series.
Beyond his personal passions, Jason had a deep commitment to helping others. He was an active blood and organ donor, always looking for ways to give back and support those in need.
Jason is survived by his loving wife, Amanda Hagood; his daughter, Haley Hagood (Tristan) and his son, Michael Francois. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Laura Leonard; his beloved dog, Gia and his "biscuit-making master" cat, Jingles. He was preceded by his father, Ronald Hagood.
A visitation will be held from 1-3 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, October 23rd at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway, Arkansas. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jason's honor by emailing 31chapterpunishers@gmail.com.
Following the funeral services, a reception will be held at the Popular Event Center located at 1069 Markham St, Conway, AR 72032.

I met Jason when he came to help out at our Coca-Cola branch in Camden. He was one of the kindest and laid back people I ever met. From that day, I have always admired his integrity and work ethic. The world lost a good person. My prayers and condolences go out to Jason's family, friends, and co-workers.

I've had the privilege of knowing Jason since 2008. He was always interested in the type of cars I drove and built; sometimes he'd have his little laughs here and there but that was our bond. When I almost lost my little brother he helped me through that hard time in my life. I felt like I owed him after that. Jason never asked for anything in return or made me feel like it was expected. He was truly invested in us all and devoted his time to make you better as a person; probably why he made it as a United States Marine "oorah." I left Coca-Cola in 2015, but Jason never gave up on me coming back and always kept in touch. In 2016, I did go back and have never looked back. I met Jason at around 34 yrs old when he hired me in Morrilton. Next year I'll be 50. I was the last face he saw and possibly the last voice he heard. I truly wished it was his wife and daughter's, but it was me. I'm hurt but honored at the same time. You were a gift, Hagood! I will always give everything my all, because I know that's what you'd do! I love you, Hagood!! Rest easy, friend!!

It’s so hard to wrap my head around this. You lose contact with an old friend then you get this message. The times we shared at work, after work, and weekends were such good times and good memories.
I shared the news today at Coca Cola New Orleans to people that I thought worked with Jason and this is what I heard:

Hagood No No that was my dude. Hagood

Jason We use to talk about our cars. He loved fixing up his car. Auw man

Jason Such a good guy! No way

Hagood That boy could move some cases. Wow what shock.

And his old supervisor: he was a good one my lead man and man he was super fast. I don’t know how he could unload a truck so fast. We knew who to call when we need the job done.

Arkansas you lost a good man, but you know that already. We too mourn with you here in NOLA.

Amanda, Haley, and Michael I’m so sorry
Jason losing touch doesn’t mean losing friendship until next time rest easy.

Jason was a great Coke driver. He was always willing to help anyway he could. Most importantly I wanted to say is, "We'll stand watch now Brother." Semper Fi!

Weep Not For Me, I Am A Marine

Do not stand at my grave weeping.
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds drifting gently over the land.
I am God's diamond, a light glistening through the skies,
His snow crystal riding winds, caring not where fate takes me,
happy to flow through endless beauty.
I rise, I soar, I change, gently.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain;
I am the seasons that call to the earth,
becoming the gentle autumn rain caressing land.
You awaken to the dawn hush;
I am the swift, uplifting warmth of the morning breeze.

At night, I am the stars that shine.
I was old, yet you see me,
able to run once again as I shoot through the night sky.
I am the splendor of the harvest moon.
Do not stand at my grave and cry.
I am not there; my spirit soars on the wind.
I did not die the way you think.

Because...

All Marines die in the red flash of battle
or the cold loneliness of a nursing home,
their bodies broken, aged because of war.
In the vigor of youth or the infirmity of years, all eventually cross over.
But our Marine Corps lives on.
Every Marine who ever existed is living still
through our young Marines who claim our title today.

It is the sense of brotherhood that outlives our mortality.
It is belonging to our Marine Corps, which gives us light to live by,
our honor to uphold, traditions to pass on,
our warrior code to give our new generation...

Amanda and family I am so sorry for your loss. I would see Jason often at work before my day would start and he was always quick with a smile with everyone and of course quick witted as well. It was a standing joke between us that I would say Jason you ever gonna do some work and he’d reply I will if you will. Of course we all know that he was probably one of the hardest workers Coke had. Prayers for you all
