Linda Kay Heathcock, 77, of Naylor, Arkansas peacefully passed away on October 17, 2024. She was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on March 4, 1947 to the late Hunter Edgar Harkins and Eula Kay (Ballard) Harkins.
Linda graduated from Mabelvale High School in 1965 and attended Arkansas A&M in Monticello, Arkansas. She was a retired LST supervisor with Conway Human Development Center. Linda enjoyed helping others in her community and was of the Baptist Faith.
Linda found true happiness on the farm. It was a magical place for her with beautiful memories of time spent with family, friends and neighbors. She and her loving husband of 37 years, Herschel, enjoyed raising cattle, caring for their many loved dogs and cats, fishing with their grandchildren and simply making the best out of every day given.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Danny Harkins, Rick Harkins, John T. (Tommy) Evans, Leslie Paul Evans and John Chambers.
Linda is survived by her husband, Herschel Heathcock; two sons, Gary (Rusty) Loyd Jr. (Yojaina), Scott Harkins Loyd (Jennifer); grandchildren, John Jairo Loyd, Isabel Loyd, Texie McHenry and Jake Loyd; nephews, John T. Evans, Jr., Michael Evans, Heath Harkins and Tim Evans; nieces, Heather Baker, Ashley Bourne and Leslie Evans. She is also survived by dear friends, Julie Henry, Christina Marlow and countless other friends and family from a life well lived.
A gravesite service and celebration of her life will be held at 10:00am on Monday, October 21, 2024 at Crestlawn Memorial Park in Conway, Arkansas.
Herschel and family, I am so sorry to hear that Linda passed away. We worked together at CHDC. Linda was a great supervisor. She loved the residents and they loved her. I enjoyed our chats and her infectious laugh. May God comfort you and give you strength during this time.
