Adelle E. Saulters

of Little Rock,

September 2, 1925 - October 15, 2024

Adelle Saulters was born in Sulfur, Oklahoma on September 2nd, 1925. She went home to be with the Lord on October 15th, 2024, at 99. Her parents moved to England, Arkansas when she was a small child. She graduated with high honors from England High School. As a young girl, she had set many goals, but her top priority was to marry the handsome Arvell Saulters, and that union happened on December 1, 1943.

She had several career positions and excelled at all of them. But she really thrived as an interior decorator at Sears. She was their top producer for years. Her determination and commitment to excellence carried over in every aspect of her life. Whether she prepared her famous homemade rolls or delicious coconut cake, her desire for perfection was evident. She loved to entertain and if you happen to drop by you could be assured there would be a mouth-watering homemade cookie in the cookie jar. Her desire for perfection was only trumped by her love for her husband, children, grandchildren, brothers and sisters.

Her husband, Arvell Saulters; brother, Monroe Webster and sisters, Irene McGhee, Essie House and Leota Henderson preceded her in death.

Striving to cherish her memories are her three children, Judi Thompson, Janet Saulters and Don Saulters; five grandchildren, Tamara Milo, Tonya Paulson, Ty Thompson, Drew Saulters and Amy Benson; fifteen great grandchildren, Tara Milo, Dominic Milo, Dante Milo, Christian Usman, Jackson Paulson, Cade Thompson, Hayden Thompson, Colin Saulters, Luke Saulters, J.D. Saulters, Asher Saulters, Aaron Benson, Emma Benson, Mattie Benson, Noell Benson; three great-great grandchildren, Gray Colyer, Liam Milo, Grayson Milo and many beloved nieces and nephews, she truly had a life well lived.

Funeral for Mrs. Saulters will be 11:30am Thursday, October 24, 2024 in the Chapel of Roller-Drummond Funeral Home. The family will host a visitation on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Roller-Drummond Funeral Home.

There truly weren’t many people like Adele Saulters, she may have been short in stature but always stood tall in everything she did. The world won’t be the same without her. I will miss her.

The realization of not having my grandmother has hit hard. My grandmother was a major foundation of my upbringing and who I am today. My childhood is flooded with memories of my Momadell making everything extra special. She never took no for an answer and had an unbelievable work ethic. I like to think I got a little bit of that from her. We went on trips and I spent many summers with my grandparents. She taught me to cook, bake, decorate a home and even attemped to teach me to sew and to garden. I can attribute my faith and love for Jesus to her as well. If I could say one last thing to her, it would be thank you for loving me so much and making my childhood truly magical. I can only hope to leave such an indelible footprint on the lives of my grandchildren.

Until I see you again, I have my dimples, name and so many memories. I will love you forever,
Tamara Adelle

Judi, Janet, and Don - your mother was in my life as far back as I can remember; from the Tyler Street Baptist Church days throughout the Colony West times. She was always so sweet and calm and a good friend to my mother, Louise (Weezy). Prayers for your family and all the children all the way down to the great-greats. What a wonderful life she had and she certianly blessed so many. She was first and foremost a good Chirstian lady.

Janet and family,
So sorry to hear of the passing of Ms Adelle. She was a good neighbor for about 10 years while I lived on Kingspark. My prayers go out to all of you. I have thought of her often over the years.

I have many fond memories of fun times with my parents, Harold & Sharon Thompson, at Mrs. Saulters’ over the years. Her home and heart were always open to welcome everyone for a great laugh and wonderful food. My son now shows those fond memories of my childhood. We will miss her spirit and light. Our thoughts and prayers go out to our beloved Aunt Judi, her family and my cousins.
With love, Reg and Walker
