of Dover, AR
November 12, 1952 - October 7, 2024
Macil (Tindall) Hankins, 71, a resident of Dover, passed away Monday, October 7, 2024 in St. Vincent's Infirmary in Little Rock.
She was born November 12, 1952 in Conway to the late Garland and Annie (Stracner) Tindall. Macil married Hartsel Hankins on May 26, 1973 at First Baptist Church of Dover. She served as custodian for the First Baptist Church of Dover for over 20 years. Along with her service at the church, Macil faithfully worked alongside Hartsel on their family poultry and cattle farm. In addition to Macil being a member of the First Baptist Church of Dover, more recently she had grown to love her church family at Mt. Carmel Cumberland Presbyterian Church near Augsburg. For Macil, her faith in Jesus and her family were most important. Whether she was cooking just what she knew you loved, supporting her grandsons in their activities or helping with church functions, Macil's love for the people around her was unmistakable. Additionally, Macil enjoyed all things junking, no matter if it was a yard sale, flea market or auction, she was always excited to show you her newest ''bargains''. Over the years some of her favorite finds were her collections of Elvis Presley and Coca Cola memorabilia. During the summer months Macil was an avid gardener, she especially enjoyed growing tomatoes.
In addition to her parents, Macil was preceded in death by four brothers, Charley Carl Tindall, Harley Tindall, Eldridge Barch and an infant brother; two sisters, Wilma Moore and Ernestine Wilson and three nephews, Curtis Lee Tindall, Michael Wade Tindall and Mack Barch.
Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Hartsel Hankins of Dover; a son, Monte Hankins of Dover; two grandsons, Gabriel and Wyatt Hankins both of Dover; a brother, Tommy Coble and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Sunday, October 13, 2024 at Mt. Carmel Cumberland Presbyterian Church near Augsburg.
The funeral service will follow at 4:00 p.m. Sunday with Rev. Ethan Robinson and Dr. Jeff Paxton officiating. Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 14, 2024 at St. Paul Cemetery east of Dover.
Pallbearers will be Larry Wilson, Andy Wilson, Jason Hankins, Colby Hankins, Josh Buchanan and Billy Linton.

Macil was loved immensely and will be missed!!
I am at a loss for words to hear of Macil’s passing. The last time I saw her was at my own mother’s funeral, which I was honored to see she attended. I regret not being able to speak to her as she was the kindest, most humble and hard working woman I knew growing up. Hartsell, Monte, you guys are in my thoughts and prayers during this time. God bless you and keep you!
