Gerald Lester Lewis, 79, of Charlotte passed away Friday, October 4, 2024.
He was born November 13, 1944 in Batesville, Arkansas to Clifford Lewis and Lola Jewel Smith Lewis.
Gerald retired from Walmart after 23 years. He loved hunting, fishing and gardening with his best friend, Bobby Weaver.
Survivors include his brothers, Ben Lewis (Dude), Jimmy Lewis (Milli), Mickey Lewis (Sue) and Dennis Lewis (Marsha); sister, Maxine Fuller (Billy); other survivors include Debbie McCluskey (Billy), Shallen Hughes (Jeremy), Bentley and Lyla Beth Hughes and sister-in-law, Mary Butler; fifteen nephews, nine nieces, 17 great-nephews and 16 great-nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Barbara Butler Lewis; sisters, Jean Varnell and Carole Lee; twin brother, Earl Lewis; other brothers, Robert Lewis, Paul Lewis, Harry Lewis; three nephews and one niece.
Graveside services will be at 2:00pm Thursday, October 10, 2024 at Liberty Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville with Jonathan Franco officiating.

I have many wonderful uncles in my life and Uncle Gerald is and was one of those in my life. He was such a sweet and loving man and he will be terribly missed but I know he is rejoicing with his precious Wife andthe family he has been waiting to see again. We love you Uncle Gerald.
