William Steven (Buddy) Estell Sr., age 86, of Mabelvale, Arkansas passed away peacefully Thursday, October 3, 2024. He was born on September 13, 1938 and was raised in Scott, Arkansas. He leaves behind his wife, Ruth E. Causey Estell of 61 years; three daughters, Janice Lahr, Melissa (Andy) Claborn and Michelle (Steve) Purifoy and two sons, Bill (Tania) Estell and Brian (Paige) Estell; twelve grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Steven Lias Estell and Rosa Nan Lackie Estell. He was one of five children and is survived by a brother, John Richard ''Jack'' Estell of NLR. Buddy has reunited with his sister, Bobbie Marie Estell Dixon; brothers, Bennie Glen Estell and Dayrel Lyndle Estell in heaven. Buddy's quick wit and ornery demeanor kept everyone on their toes, but it was his big heart that drew everyone in. He truly cherished time spent with his family, his nephew, Steve, grandkids and great grandkids. He also loved reminiscing over good times with his longtime friends at his favorite restaurants.
The family has scheduled a Celebration of Life on Monday, October 7, 2024 at Roller Drummond Funeral Home 10900 Interstate 30 Little Rock, Ark. from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m.

Ruth and family. I’m so sorry to hear this about Uncle Buddy. I still called him and Uncle Benny Glen my Uncle they have always been so sweet to me my kids loved him also . You and the family are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time!!
