Eldon Earl Anderson of Lake City, AR passed away Saturday, September 28, 2024 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, AR at the age of 86 years. He was born July 31, 1938 in Caraway, AR to Raymon and Julia Anderson. He was of the Baptist belief. Eldon served in the U.S. Army from 1961 to 1967. He retired from Arkansas State University, from the Physical Plant in 2000, where he worked in the maintenance department. Eldon loved to travel, fish and hunt.
Eldon was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Terry Anderson; one brother, David Anderson and one sister, Lena Mae Anderson.
Survivors include his loving wife of 61 years, Patsy Anderson; two daughters, Rhonda Anderson and Vicki (Donnie) Terrell all of Lake City; grandchildren, Aaron Terrell and Renee Terrell; two brothers, Gerald (Connie) Anderson and Lonnie (Susie) Anderson and one sister, Linda Hare.
Chapel services will be 2 pm Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home, 1900 West Washington Avenue in Jonesboro, AR with Rick Stevens officiating. Burial will follow at Caraway Cemetery.
Visitation will precede the service and begin at 1 pm.
Pallbearers will include Mark Douglas, Tommy Wilbanks, Derek McCormick, Brian Dement, Robert Adcock and Steven Sanders.
We were sorry to hear about the passing of Eldon. I used to ride back and forth to work with him at American Greetings. He had an old Volkswagen and had to work on it every couple of days. He was always soft spoken and had a gentle demeanor. We know he will be missed by many.

So sorry for your loss. Eldon was a good man. I always enjoyed visiting with him and his family. Sending prayers for his family during this difficult time and all the days ahead.
