Jeanette Dean Shaddox, age 90, of Harrison, Arkansas died September 25th, 2024. She was born, along with her twin sister, Claudette, on August 12th, 1934 in Dalton, Georgia to Bernard and Lora (Lambert) Dean. She and her family moved to Memphis as a small child before settling in Harrison as a teen. She met and married Bill Shaddox in 1954. They were married 44 years before he died in 1998. Jeanette was a faithful member of First Christian Church and a member of the Hearthstone Sunday School class. Along with being a loving homemaker, she worked as a church secretary for several years. She and Bill loved to travel and most of all, to visit the kids and grandkids. She dearly loved her 3 grandsons and was so proud of them. She loved watching westerns, listening to Elvis Presley's music, and was always up for going out to eat or shopping in Branson. She loved kitty cats and had 2 sweet kitties in her life, Spanky and then later, Sugar. If you went to visit her, Sugar would likely be curled up in her lap. Jeanette lived on her own in her house on Huntington Place until age 88, when her health declined. She was very independent and loved her life.
She is survived by her son, Ken and his wife, Susan Shaddox of Conway, Arkansas; her daughter, Deena and her husband, David Dougherty of Little Rock, Arkansas; grandsons, Zach Shaddox and his wife, Deanna, Sage Shaddox and his wife, Marley and Will Dougherty and his wife, Lauren and 3 great-grandchildren, Colin, Lilly and Grace who was born on Jeanette's 90th birthday. She also became close to her nephew, Chris Gardner, and his wife, Angela in the last few years of her life. She had many family members and cherished friends who will dearly miss her.

Growing up in FCC in Harrison was such a privilege. Your mother definitely influenced my life. She was very kind and so sweet, as was her sister Claudette. I always thought that these twin sisters were just beautiful, inside and out.
I'm very sorry for your loss. My prayers are with you and Ken and your families during this difficult time. Treasure your memories made with her.
Sincerely,
Carol and Dennis Copeland
