of Maumelle, AR
March 20, 1952 - September 18, 2024
Bren May, age 72, of Maumelle, Arkansas passed on to be with her savior Jesus and her late husband, Larry May, on September 18, 2024. Bren was born March 20, 1952 to Mitchell Moore and Faye Moore and grew up in Osceola, Arkansas.
Bren and Larry were married on May 25, 1973. They both surrendered their lives to Jesus in 1980 and started a heritage of faith in God through simple faithfulness and love to all those around them. Larry passed on to glory in 1990, leaving behind Bren and their two children. Bren had to completely rely on Jesus. For years she worked just one day a week as a single mother, staying home with her kids and giving them all her love.
That heritage of faith has been passed on for many years and will continue to have an impact for eternity. She never stopped showing everyday acts of love to her family, friends, church family and other single ladies and widows.
Bren is survived by her stepmother, Ann Moore of Marietta, Georgia; her daughter, Shelley and Justin Charton of Conway, Arkansas and her son, Jason and Tabitha May of Conway, Arkansas. She also leaves behind 7 beautiful granddaughters, Alexa Charton, Hollan Charton, Sydney Charton, Ellison Charton, Isabella May, Sophia May and Maria May.
In addition, Bren is survived by her two sisters, Carolyn Imboden of Rogers, Arkansas and Janet Moore of Maumelle, Arkansas and her brother, Mitchell and Jennifer Moore of Maryville, Tennessee.
As we grieve her passing, we also celebrate the life God gave her, the time we had with her and the testimony of Jesus she shared with us.
Funeral will be 11:00am Saturday, September 21, 2024 at Fellowship Bible Church, with Matt Morgan and Jim Pennington officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00am prior to the service. Burial will be at 2:00pm at Crestview Memorial Park, Hwy 70, Hot Springs, Arkansas.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Firefall International, World Gospel Outreach or Fellowship Bible Church Maumelle.

I grew up going to church with th May family and babysat Shelley and Jason when they were young. I have several memories of Bren and her acts of kindness and her love for Larry and her kids! She was so proud of her family! My prayers are with you all.
