Mark Bankston, 58, of Fort Smith passed from this life Monday, September 17, 2024 in Fort Smith. He was born December 29, 1965 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Emitt and Marlene Bankston. Mark served in the U.S. Army and loved spending time with his family.

Mark is survived by his parents; his wife of 10 years, Yvonne Dickinson; one son, Nathaniel Higginbotham; two daughters, Brittany Pogue and Katie Mitchell; one brother, Wayne Bankston; three sisters, Janie Bankston, Cindy Bankston and Erin Coughlin; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 1:00 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 20, 2024 at the Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel, funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m., internment will be in the Lamar Cemetery with Roller-Cox Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
