Jay Bird passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2024 at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. He was born on Tuesday, November 10, 1959 in Forrest City, Arkansas to the late James M. Buford, Sr. and Norma Sue Harris Buford.
Jay Bird is preceded in death by both parents and his most recently beloved ''Rusty'', fur baby.
His is survived by his sisters, Cindy Hartsfield (Leonard) of Heber Springs, Arkansas and Tammy Bradley (Jacky) of Helena, Arkansas; nieces, Danielle Seaton (Troy) of Helena, Arkansas, Brandy McGee of Helena, Arkansas, Cassie Jo Gehring (Andrew) of Searcy, Arkansas; special friend, Lisa Reeves of Oxford, Mississippi and fur baby, Jubal.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Friends of the Delta Dawg and Meals on Wheels for Helena-West Helena dogs. Both charities may be found on Facebook.

I miss you!! I know everyone else will !! Jaybird was one of a kind all around great man !! Never another one like him!! Love and miss you so many fun memories!! Always had everyone laughing!! So glad we got to go fishing together again after all those years!! Rest in peace jb!! Fly high!!!
