Marcus Dean Fisher, 83, of Judsonia, AR passed away on Sunday September 8, 2024. The middle child of Woodrow and Elsie Fisher, he was born on December 12, 1940 in Leachville, AR.
Mark graduated from Nettleton High School in Jonesboro in 1959 and the family moved to CA, where Mark joined the US Navy and served 4 years during the Vietnam War. He moved back to his beloved Judsonia in 1969 and cared for his parents until their deaths. Mark ended his career working for the City of Judsonia. He was a devoted son, brother, father and grandfather. Mark was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He loved horseracing, fishing, watching westerns and gardening.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow and Elsie Fisher of Judsonia and one brother, William Fisher of Little Rock, AR.
Mark is survived by his 5 children, Cheryl Irons of Dana Point, CA, Marcus Fisher Jr and wife, Peggy of Okmulgee, OK, Karen Murdock of Spiro, OK, Danna Reynolds (John Robert) of Searcy, AR and Scott Fisher (Ginger) of Bradford, AR; 14 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and a sister, Vera Kidd (Richard) of Memphis, TN.
Chapel services will begin at 2 pm on Friday, September 13, 2024 at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home, 1900 West Washington Avenue in Jonesboro. Burial will follow at Bishop Cemetery.
Visitation will precede the service and begin at 1 pm.
Pallbearers will include Mark Anthony Fisher, Rich Kidd Jr., Colton Fisher, Nick Fisher, Madison Fisher and Steve Goff.
