Kathleen Elizabeth Reynolds

of Sage, AR

December 10, 1942 - September 6, 2024

Kathleen Elizabeth Reynolds, 81, of Sage, AR went to her Heavenly home on September 6, 2024 surrounded by her family.

Born on December 10, 1942 in Batesville, AR, Kathleen was the beloved daughter of Remmel and Helen Carpenter. Kathleen was married to lifelong sweetheart of 64 years, Joe Don Reynolds and was the loving mother of Susan Tripp (Reynolds) and Amanda Roberts (Reynolds). Kathleen was lovingly known by her grandchildren, Maggie Beshears and Mia Roberts as "TW". She was preceded in death by her mother, "Mama Helen"; father, "Papa" and is survived by her brother, RL Carpenter; her husband; her daughters and sons in law, (Robb Roberts and Frank Tripp) and her grandchildren.

Kathleen was known for achievements as the first employee and spearhead of Entergy power plant, where she later became the HR Director and her advocacy against ageism in the workplace. She was a fiery spirited woman, who loved the Lord and her family passionately. She enjoyed working within her church, First United Methodist Church of Batesville, reading, playing the piano and supporting her granddaughters' endeavors.

Kathleen owned Resource Power Staffing Company and served on the UACCB Board of Visitors and the United Way Board. She was a take charge kind of person who loved her family. She enjoyed watching Mia in her theater productions and Maggie play softball, where she loved to voice her opinion at the refs. She also enjoyed Southern Gospel and contemporary music and reading John Grissom novels.

A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, September 13th at 10:00AM at First United Methodist Church of Batesville, with a meal to follow in the reception hall. A private graveside service will be held at a later time. Honorary pallbearers are RL Carpenter, Chris Carpenter, John Ellis, David Smith, Robb Roberts and Frank Tripp.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests monetary donations be made to First United Methodist Church of Batesville.

Kathleen "TW" Reynolds will be remembered for the lasting impact she made on every person she encountered and the resilient legacy she created.

Kathleen worked at the Independence Plant when I worked in Entergy Corporate Services in Little Rock. She was a dedicated employee and a joy to work with. I remember when the Post Office misdirected the entire payroll for the plant to Newark NJ. It was supposed to be delivered to Newark AR the next day, but no one was sure this would happen. Kathleen worked half the night figuring the amounts and hand writing checks to be sure everyone got paid if the package didn't make it.

Kathleen was a dear friend and she was also such a caring person. She started me out in the staffing business 19 years ago and I knew nothing about it at the time. She taught me so much about the job and how to realize the potential in people. We stayed friends all of those years and I will miss talking to her so much. She was always there to listen if needed. She was a great role model in her work as well as her everyday life. She cared deeply for her sweet family and they have so many good memories of her. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.
