Kimberly J. Black

of Scotland, AR

August 22, 1963 - September 7, 2024

Kimberly "Kimmy" Black, born on August 22, 1963 in Long Beach, California to Joyce Marie and Harvey Lee Adcock, passed from this life and entered her eternal reward on September 7, 2024 in the arms of her loving husband.

Kimmy is survived by her devoted husband of 42 years, Darrell Black. Together, they built a beautiful life and raised three children: Matthew (Chelsie) Black, Ashley (Aaron) Biggs and Shanna Bellamy, along with her honorary son, Cody Donaldson. Her greatest joy in life was her grandchildren: Remington, Axel, Angel, Ethan, Brooklynn, Cassidy, Brantley and Braelynn, as well as her honorary grandchildren, Tristen, Aspen and Madilyn. She cherished every moment spent with them, always ready with a sweet treat and a loving smile.

A dedicated partner in all things, Kimmy stood by her husband and assisted him in ministry at New Beginning Church in Dennard since 1987. Her commitment to her faith and community was unwavering, and she touched countless lives through her service, compassion and love for others.

Kimmy was known for her love of baking and cooking special meals for her loved ones. Her kitchen was a place of warmth and comfort, where she created countless memories over shared meals, homemade treats and the unmistakable aroma of love and laughter.

She is also survived by her brothers, Glen Johnson and Steve Adcock and her sisters, Donna Henderson and Fonda Bray. She was a beloved aunt, sister and friend, always extending her love and care to her extended family and all who needed it.

Kimmy was preceded in death by her unborn baby; her parents, Joyce Marie and Harvey Adcock; her sister, Dana Lynn; her grandparents, Tilden and Avril Johnson; her grandmother, Geneva Kitchens and her beloved son-in-law, Brandon Bellamy.

Kimmy's life was a testament to the strength of her spirit, her fierce love and her unmatched dedication to her family and community. She spent many years as the general manager at Sonic, where she was more than a boss-she was a mentor, a second mother and a friend to her employees, many of whom became honorary family. Known for her ability to nurture and guide, Kimmy had a unique gift for helping others through their struggles, spending countless hours on the phone ministering and offering support.

Though she often joked, "I'm not a crafty lady", her true craft was caring for others. Whether it was solving big problems or small, she always had a solution and she wasn't afraid to let you know if you were part of the problem. Her love for people was limitless and she extended it to every child she babysat, treating them as her own, whether spoiling them or disciplining them, sparing not even the toothbrushes when needed.

Her marriage to Darrell was filled with laughter and love, a spirited dynamic where Darrell delighted in teasing her and she took great joy in proving him wrong. In her quieter moments, Kimmy found joy in watching "Days of Our Lives", a comforting ritual amidst her busy life.

Kimmy's legacy is one of love, strength and unwavering commitment to others. She leaves behind a family who will forever cherish her memory, her lessons and the love she so freely gave.

Visitation will be Tuesday, September 10, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Roller - McNutt Funeral Home in Clinton, Arkansas. A celebration of Kimmy's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on September 11, 2024 at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Clinton, Arkansas. She will will be laid to rest at Foster Cemetery in Scotland, Arkansas.

May she rest in peace, knowing she left the world better than she found it.

Darrell and family, I wish to send my condolences to you all. I'm thankful to have been blessed to have known you and your family almost all my life. I loved when you guys came to church in Shirley because I would always run up and sit beside Kim. She would always let me hold Ashley!

As Paul said:

2 Corinthians 6-8: Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: 7(For we walk by faith, not by sight:) 8We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

So often, we say we "lost" a loved one do to death, but how wrong that is if Heaven is their reward. How can anyone be lost in the presence of our Savior

Still, as mortal beings, it still hurts and I know God understands our grief, afterall, He did create us.

We love you guys and Dave and I will be praying for peace for your family

Kim an I had lots of good talks at work. She struck me as a wonderful person. We took breaks together. One day something came up that we was just about kin. Her Daughter was married to my Nephew Brandon Bellemy. We laughed, when we figured that out. She'll be missed very much! She left this life to Young. Rest in Peace Kim.

I have always thought the world of Kim. She taught me so much at a young age. She often treated me as one of her own. I wouldn’t have walked the path I have without her and her family in my life at such a time when I was easily influenced by the people around me. Kim gave me many lessons and opportunities in life. I will always remember the mommy look she would give to us in church on Sundays when Darrell would preach to us gods word. Kim will be forever missed and in my heart.
