Jana Kay Harrison went to her heavenly home on September 4, 2024. She was 66 years old. Jana was born October 27, 1957 to Wallace and Mamie Leonard in Memphis, Tennessee. Jana is preceded in death by her parents, Wallace and Mamie Leonard; brother, Jimmy Leonard; son, Brian Harrison; sister, Debbie Newingham and 2 nephews, Michael Leonard and Tommy Newingham.
Jana started out as a teacher's aide but wanted to pursue other dreams. She went on to graduate with a bachelor's degree in nursing from East Arkansas Community College. She spent years using her degree taking care of others. She worked at Crittenden Hospital in West Memphis, Arkansas, Dr. Evans Pediatric office and Home Health for West Memphis Health Department.
Jana found a church home at Feltner Assembly of God, where she and her husband attended for about 8 years. She had an unwavering example of faith which she shared with her family. Jana was a family driven force of nature. She was a pure example of unconditional love and to know her was to love her. Jana's favorite past times where spending time with her family. She loved to watch her shows "The Walton's" and "Little House on the Prairie". Her grandkids and great-grandchildren were the joys of her life.
Jana is survived by her loving husband, James Harrison; son, Chris Harrison; brother, Jerry Leonard; honorary daughters, Stephanie Mensman and Kristy Gibbs; 3 grandchildren, Stacey Harrison, Christin (Michael) Guevara, Brian E. (Karlee) Harrison and 9 great grandchildren, Elise, Maci, Haven, Maddie, Maymie-Jane, Ryleigh, Elijah, Adalynn and Ava.
So sad for your loss. I just saw this and I’m sorry to be so late sending my condolences. I remember our times in Agri Class.

So sorry for your loss. It was my privilege to work with Jana in Dr. Evan’s office. We had a family feeling there an it was great. James we trusted you to help us when we needed help and that was a blessing. Jana is with God now and no more pain and that is a blessing. I pray for Gods peace for you and your family.

Our boys went to school together. That’s how I met Jana. She was always the kindest person you could ever meet. Continued prayers for James and a Chris and the rest of the family.

Jana was a great person. She babysat my boys when they were little. My boys loved her so much as their babysitter.

Have always thought the absolute best of Jana & James as well! They were like peas and carrots! Perfectly made for one another! My prayers are with the entire family & ask God to cover them with His love & peace as only He can do!
