of Little Rock, AR
December 16, 1922 - September 2, 2024
Francis Traylor Smith, 101, of Little Rock, formerly of Moro, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2024. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil, of 65 years and one son, Tommy of North Little Rock. She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Weeks of Little Rock; sister, Julie King (Don) of Scott, Arkansas; granddaughters, Tonya Goss (Jerry) of Pine Bluff, Tina Nickleson (Tiger) of Brinkley, Cindy Sorrells of Moro; 8 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren. Francis lived a long, full life. She enjoyed cooking for her family, gardening and quilting. She was an excellent cook and was world known for her peanut brittle, which was very often fought over. She was happiest when she was surrounded by her family around a huge country meal that she had prepared. She was one of eight children and was a prime example of ''hard work never killed anyone'', cooking 3 meals a day, tending the garden, canning and occasionally helping on the farm. Her shoes will be hard to fill, but we will give it our best. Rest in peace - you have earned it ''Mom, Grandma, Granny, Sister, Aunt Francis''. Memorials may be made to Moro Baptist Church, 1383 Highway 238, Moro, Arkansas, 72368 or Central Baptist Church, 15601 Taylor Loop Road, Little Rock, Arkansas, 72223. Funeral services for Francis will be held Saturday, September 7, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in Marianna, Arkansas. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services. Burial will follow services at Marianna Memorial Park. Family & Friends may view and sign online guestbook at www.rollerfuneralhomes.com/Marianna.

Sure hate to hear of her passing, she was always so wonderful when we would visit the farm. We had so much fun at Mr.Cecil’s farm and she was always so welcoming and so sweet!
Mrs. Smith lived a pure Godly life.We loved her very much. The best mother in law ever. I can only imagine their reunion in heaven
