Melanie Ann Young, age 80, passed away on September 2, 2024 in Searcy, Arkansas. Melanie was born on July 22, 1944. Melanie spent her life dedicated to her community and her church.

Melanie will be lovingly remembered for her kind and loving personality that made those around her feel comfortable and cared for. She had a professional manner about her and used her skills as an administrator at a local Searcy law office and later at her church, Trinity Episcopal Church in Searcy, Arkansas. Melanie loved her church home and found peace in the presence of our Father in Heaven.

She had the title of Aunt Melanie to 7 nieces and nephews and 13 great-nieces and nephews. Her Chex Mix recipe was renowned among her family as the best in the world, a testament to the joy she brought during her visits with a container of her famous recipe.

Melanie is survived by her sister, Marilyn Ransom of Searcy, Ark; nieces and nephews, Jeff Schnebly and family, Terri Livingston and family, John Schnebly and family, Randy Ransom and family, Greg Ransom, David Ransom and family, Holly Young and family.

She was predeceased by her parents, Oppie L. Young and Mildred Waller Young; her brother, Oppie L. Young lll and her sister, Madelyn Young Schnebly.

Committal Service will be held at White County Memorial Gardens in Searcy, Arkansas at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, September 21, 2024 with Reverend Mark Harris presiding under the direction of Roller-Daniel Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Trinity Episcopal Church, 200 N. Elm Street, Searcy, Ark 72143 in memory of Melanie. Her legacy of kindness and community involvement will continue to live on through these contributions.
