James H. Schouweiler, 75, a resident of Paris passed away Sunday, September 1, 2024 at his home.
He was born April 29, 1949 in Paris to the late Carl and Ollie Mae (Thurman) Schouweiler.
In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his wife, Mary D. Schouweiler; a brother, Charles Schouweiler and a sister, Sharon Moshbacher.
James spent his working years as an upholsterer. He owned his own shop called Jim's Upholstery. In his spare time, Jim enjoyed watching westerns, listening to oldies music and spending time with his daughters and granddaughters.
Survivors include two daughters, Michele Wells of Paris and Karen Davis of Branch; a stepson, Milton Brown of Paris; two granddaughters, Gracie Wells and Destiney Brown; a great granddaughter ''on the way'', Adeline Miller; a sister, Cathy Azbell of Paris; an adoptive daughter, Marinda Way of Branch; numerous nieces and nephews including a special nephew, Darrell Schouweiler and wife, Wanda and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Thursday, September 5, 2024 at Roller Funeral Home in Paris. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Roller Funeral Home in Paris.
