September 25, 1926 - August 29, 2024
Lorene Rodgers, born September 25, 1926, wife to Tilden Rodgers (former Mayor of West Memphis), mother to Clyde and Leonard Rodgers, passed away on August 29, 2024 at the age of 97.
Lorene is survived by her son, Leonard; Granddaughters, Kim Dodd, Christen Rodgers, Calley Dittmer and Great-Granddaughters are Victoria and Sarah Rodgers and Abby and Elly Dittmer; Also her sister, Paula Mabry and nieces and nephews.
Lorene was known for her devotion to her family and dedication to the Lord. She was a Sunday School teacher, civically involved, talented seamstress, and a great cook of southern comfort food.
A Celebration of Life service will be held later in September at First Baptist Sweetwater of Longwood, FL.

I have the fondest memories of Mrs. Lorene, Mr. Tlden, Clyde and Leonard growing up in Calvary Baptist Church. Mrs. Lorene was my Mama's Sunday School teacher as a young woman, and my Sunday School teacher, too. She loved the Lord with all of her heart. Oh,the joy of her homegoing!
