March 16, 1935 - August 25, 2024

John W. Collins, beloved husband of Mary Ella Collins, passed away peacefully on Sunday evening, August 25th, 2024. He was born on March 16, 1935 in Cash, Arkansas and grew up in Tuckerman, Arkansas. John attended Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas, where he laid the foundation for a life dedicated to faith and family.

John is survived by his three children: two sons, Michael J. Collins and Bobby R. Collins and one daughter, Christi L. Popovich. He was a proud grandfather to seven grandchildren, Michael L. We knew him the years we went to Bailey St. C/C. We both moved from that area but thru the years we would
Meet up with him or some of the family. Always enjoyed it. Some of you will probably remember some of our children. If any of you do and want to stop by, you are Welcome! We will remember you in our prayer.

John’s passing on August 25th has given my birthday a new meaning, as I also turned 87 on August 25th. That means so much to me and I feel honored to share that date with him. I will always remember John as a fine Christian man who was a part of my life. With love, his sister in Christ - Grace Plemmons

We will miss Uncle Jay who always loved to whistle like our dad/grandpa Leon. Uncle Jay, my dad, Leon and Uncle Lester all could pass as triplets and very handsome men. I know they are all together in heaven now. Sending them hugs and kisses to all! Keeping his family and friends in our prayers. May he rest in peace
