I had the privilege of meeting Dee in 2015 when I became her Meals on Wheels driver from the senior center. She was so kind, gracious and loving. We became friends. I was so amazed by her talent with her miniatures and her kindness. We have shared laughter and tears. She was a treasure here on earth and now she is one in heaven. My deepest sympathies and prayers to all her family. She spoke of you often and was so proud of all of you. Hugs.

It was my privilege as a caregiver to meet Darlene just a few days before her passing. She was gracious and I enjoyed our conversation. I was in awe of her artistic talent and her collection and vignettes of miniatures. She was proud ot all her family and expecially the "Christina"s". My sincere condolences to all of Darlene's family.

My mema,
My heart, my peace, my sanctuary. I miss you dearly. Your never ending stories, your contagious laugh, your unwavering faith in God. It makes me so happy that you are running the streets of gold with Papa, but my eyes will always be filled with tears. You never knew a stranger, and you never treated anyone as such. It was too soon for you to go, Mema. I’m so thankful for the many times my wife and I got to visit you and cherish you. I love you to the moon and back. Till we meet again

I could never express how thankful and blessed I feel to have known mema the last 4 or so years. She welcomed me with open arms and loved me like one of her own. I will forever miss the endless stories, laughs, hugs and just the love she shared with everyone around her. We know she is shining above and walking those streets of gold but this world won’t be the same without her. I love you, mema!
