As the former Director of the Crittenden County Library system, we loved Ms. Garrett! One of my favorite things was taking books to Ms Garrett to read and the sweet notes she’d send about books she loved and ones we should consider ordering. We loved her Chocolate Chip Cookies she’d send to us!
We offer our Condolences to her family.

I knew Ms. Garrett through the library. We took books to her twice a week for many years and she donated a lot of books to the library. I didn't get to see or talk with her often, as I just dropped off a bag of books and picked up the bag to go back to the library. Sometimes she would be outside enjoying the weather and we would talk for a few minutes. She was a sweet lady that I will miss. Oh yeah, she also made amazing chocolate chip cookies!
Mrs. Garrett was a sweet sweet teacher at Maddux. I have many great memories of her. She was one of the many that came to our house when Dad died and comforted me and my brother. She and Mrs. Hines (my 2nd grade teacher) loved my Dad. I will always remember her sweet smile and caring heart. She will be missed.
So sorry to hear Mrs. Garrett has passed. What a sweet lady every time I saw her. Over many years I have loved Mrs. Garrett and Mary Helen . Prayers for peace and comfort Mary Helen.
What a wise, sweet and caring lady! It was a privilege and honor to call her my friend.
God bless you, Mary Helen, and give you peace.
