James Dennis ''Ropie'' Boshers, age 76, our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, died Saturday, August 17, 2024. Dennis was born March 25th, 1948 in Clarendon, Arkansas to the late James ''Sonny'' Boshers and Joyce Moore Boshers. He served in the United States Marine Corp and Reserves from April 2, 1968 until December 10, 1973.
Dennis began his career with Cotton Belt Railroad as a bridgeman following the end of his service in the military and retired from Union Pacific Railroad after over 42 years of service.
Dennis was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved all kinds of sports. You could always find him outside when he was home, either in his vegetable or flower garden, burning leaves or mowing the grass on his beloved John Deere. He loved his family and friends fiercely and enjoyed watching his grandbabies, great-grandbabies, nieces and nephews grow up.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Cathy Boshers Cosner (Tom).
Survivors include his wife and best friend of over 60 years, Mary Hobbs Boshers; brother, Paul Boshers (Kay); sister, Brenda Boshers Greenham (Jackie); sister-in-law, Patricia Hobbs Harrison (Mark); two daughters, Stacy Boshers McNulty and Leslie Boshers Hawkins (Lonnie); grandchildren, Taylor McNulty Murray (Shane), Colin McNulty, Morgan Hawkins Jerry (Randy), Madison Hawkins Wingfield (Will), Emma Hawkins and 5 great-granddaughters, Kendall Murray, Charley, Shiloh and Elora Jerry and Elizabeth Wingfield (due September 2024); as well as other family members and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be on Thursday, August 22, 2024 at 11:00AM in the Chapel of Roller-Alcoa Funeral Home with Pastor Chad Denmon officiating.
Burial will be in the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Roller-Alcoa Funeral Home of Benton.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 22, 2024 from 10:00AM until service time at the funeral home.
Following the graveside services, a meal will be provided at the NLC Saline located at 4200 Highway 5 North, Bryant, AR 72022
Served with this fine Marine during Vietnam. "Ropie" brought part of our history home. He didn't forget our company flag. " Semper Fe" brother. God Bless and keep your family 'til you're joined together. Godspeed Brother.

Mary, girls and Paul, my prayers go up for y’all during this most difficult time. Ropie was one of a kind for sure and I thought the world of him.
Dennis was my cousin. Our mothers were sisters. He was always a great guy to us younger kids growing up. He will be greatly missed.
