of Conway, AR
November 6, 1975 - August 15, 2024
Katina M. Berry, age 48, of Conway, Arkansas, passed away on August 15, 2024. Katina was born November 6, 1975, in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Dennis Wayne Newman, Sr. and Shirley Marie Newman.
Katina married Will Berry on September 19, 2015. They were married nearly 10 years and had many happy memories together. Katina loved and prayed for her husband. Katina also loved her son, Makiah (Kiah). He was a treasure to her.
Katina loved Jesus. She loved learning about Christ and His Word. She was always excited about Thursday night Bible Study. She wanted to share what Christ had done in her life with everyone around her. She always was a free spirit in Christ. She wanted everything in bright colors, from her clothes to her sparkling glasses. She embraced this. She believed in God's sovereignty over all things. She believed God directed everything she did or did not do. She loved her dog, Evie. She thought Evie was a gift from God. Evie provided her much entertainment.
She believed in prayer as communication to God. Every day she sent a devotional about God and prayer. She would want people to know her Savior, Jesus Christ and who she is with now. She would want them to know Christ is the One who gave her strength each day. God's grace and mercy held her up and kept her going.
Katina is survived by her husband, Will Berry, her son, Makiah Newman, her parents, Dennis Wayne Newman, Sr. and Shirley Marie Newman. She is also survived by her brother, Dennis Wayne Newman, Jr, (Angela), and her sister, Michelle Carver (Ty). Katina also leaves behind two nephews and many other relatives and friends.
So sad that I will never see her beautiful face or hear her voice again love her like my sister in christ and will miss her so much
I thank the Lord for you. That He gave me a praying wife. That because of your fervent prayers God has taught me to sit at the feet of Jesus and listen to Him. He is the good portion

I miss her so much and I will miss Katina coming to my house and sitting by a fire while her dog Evie played, she loved watching Evie run and play in a big yard with my dogs
I will miss sitting with Katina at church and her giving Nancy and me the side eye when we opened candy wrappers ! She was so happy to get a chance to bottle feed one of our lambs a while back. -I am thankful for our friendship and the comfort of her faith through her many trials. She was a blessing to me as i looked forward to her sending the daily devotionals. I will miss checking in on her. Tamara Tallant
