Joyce R. Jones passed away August 12, 2024 in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was a precious wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend. She leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion that will always be remembered. She was a member of Second Baptist Church downtown for 33 years and a member of Ruth Sunday School Class. She served as Secretary and Treasurer for many years.
She was known for her chocolate pecan cookies and all occasion cards. She was most happy when with her family. She was a former employee of Hanks Dog House Restaurant and Timex Corporation in the early sixties.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Johnie W. ''Bill'' Jones; Parents, Ardie and Mildred Dickson; Four sisters, Barbara Upshaw, Linda Harris, Norma Grady and Delora Holloman and Three brothers, Desmond Dickson, Johnny Dickson and Kenny Dickson.
She is survived by her son, Anthony Keith Jones and daughter-in-law, Rhonda Jones of Alexander, Arkansas; One sister, Angie Warren of Alexander, Arkansas and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Sunday, August 18, 2024 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Roller-Drummond Funeral Home, 10900 Interstate 30, Little Rock, Arkansas. Joyce's funeral will be held at 10:00am Monday, August 19, 2024 in the Chapel of Roller-Drummond with Dr. James Thomason officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery, Little Rock, Arkansas with Terry Dickson, John Dickson, Sylvester Applewhite, Mike Warren, Bro. Ken Dick and James Pinson serving as pallbearers.
