Nita Hatcher, 79, of Paris, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 in Charleston, Arkansas. She was born on April 21, 1945 in Paris to her parents, Louis and Velma Mars.
Nita was retired from the Paris School District having served many years as the food service director. She enjoyed camping, fishing, spending time with her grandchildren and could always be found in the kitchen cooking for her family. She was a dedicated member of the First Baptist Church in Paris, she loved singing for her Lord and Savior and often times would sing specials during worship service.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by one granddaughter, Arie Hatcher Savage.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Bill Hatcher of Paris; four sons, Stan Hatcher and wife Sandy of Paris, Randy Hatcher of Paris, Britt Hatcher of Paris and Chris Hatcher and wife Farah of Paris; one sister, Sue Blanscet of Paris; one brother, Jerry Dyer of McAllister, Oklahoma; 8 grandchildren, Nikki Albright and husband Brett, Tranisa Townsend and husband Andrew, Coty Hatcher and wife Brooke, Tori Hatcher, Ryan Hatcher and wife Rianna, Macy Koch and husband Taylor, Keller Keen and Jagger Hatcher and 9 great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m., on Friday, August 16, 2024 at Roller Funeral Home Chapel in Paris.
The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at First Baptist Church in Paris officiated by Rev. Harlin Brewton and Rev. Bob Shelton. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery under the direction of Roller Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Coty Hatcher, Ryan Hatcher, Jagger Hatcher, Andrew Townsend and Keller Keen.
Honorary pallbearers will be Nikki Albright, Brett Albright, Tranisa Townsend, Tori Hatcher, Macy Koch, Taylor Koch and Brooke Hatcher.
Nita was a very sweet lady she will be missed. She was always smiling
I have so many memories of Nita. She was my boss for several years at school. She sang so many beautiful songs at church. A very special lady. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Anytime we would bring there vehicles home Nita and Bill would say come on in and visit if it was supper time there was nothing doing but sit down at the table and enjoy her cooking with them! Bill,Stan,Randy,Chris,Britt Love and Prayers!

I went to church with Bill and Lanita at Roseville Baptist Church in the ‘60’s. She was a beautiful lady inside and out and had a voice like an Angel. God’s comfort for her family.

Oh, how I loved serving with Nita at First Baptist of Paris., in the choir and in the kitchen. She was always so gracious and served all with love. What an addition to heaven's choir!
