Mrs. Maggie Higgins, aged 90, of Mountain Home, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 in Mountain Home, AR. Born on February 1, 1934 in Rain River, Ontario, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Wilfred and Margaret (Flynn) Sorenson.
Maggie pursued her passion for care giving by graduating from Nursing School as a Registered Nurse on February 23, 1956. She dedicated four decades of her life to nursing before retiring, during which she touched the lives of many with her compassionate care.
A faithful member of the United Methodist Church in Norfork, Maggie found joy in serving her community and caring for her loved ones. Her devotion extended especially to her beloved husband of 70 years, Ernest "Bud" Higgins Jr., whom she cared for deeply until his passing last April.
She is survived by her two sons, Bryan Paul Higgins and Michael Aren Higgins and leaves behind a multitude of cherished relatives and friends who will miss her dearly. Maggie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ernest "Bud" Higgins Jr. and one infant child, Scott Charles Higgins.
Maggie Higgins will be remembered for her kindness, her dedication to nursing and her unwavering love for her family. Her legacy of compassion and service will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Many great memories and we always enjoyed our phone chats. Great love for both Maggie and Bud. They always referred to me as their “ little sister”! Glad for the recent phone visit, I’ll miss those chats and reminiscing.

To the family of Margaret Ann Higgins, I am sorry for the loss of your dear loved one. A hope that has brought comfort to many can be found in Gods Word the Bible. There we learn that God has the ability to bring our dead loved ones back to life here on earth. (Acts 24:15) Until that appointed time they are in His memory. Please be assured that He understands your grief and can give you the comfort you need to get through your trials.

I have such fond memories of our summer visits to Wisconsin to visit Bud and Maggie when we were children. The Dairy Cone, water skiing, swimming in the (cold) Wisconsin lakes and learning to fish. Many fond childhood memories. Sending you loving thoughts from the West Coast.
