Kathy Diane McLaughlin, 67, of Trumann, AR passed away Thursday, August 8, 2024 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. She was born April 20, 1957 in Jonesboro to Wayne and Helen (Gallion) Payton. Kathy worked for the East Arkansas Area on Aging as a caregiver and was of the Pentecostal faith. She loved gardening. Kathy was a kind and loving person, but most of all, she loved the Lord.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents and nephew, Kelly Payton.
She leaves behind her loving husband of 30 years, John McLaughlin; three sons, Rodney (Denise) Courville, Jonathan McLaughlin and Jeremy McLaughlin; two daughters, Brandi Wilson and Heaven McLaughlin; five grandchildren, Taylor, Peyton, Sarah, Alex and Victoria and two sisters, Donna (Wayne) Mahan and Karen (Brett) Tate.
Graveside services will be 11 am Monday, August 12, 2024 at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with Darrell Baker officiating.
John McLaughlin, Brett Tate, Anthony Mahan, Brittney Finley and Heaven McLaughlin will serve as pallbearers.
No visitation is scheduled and arrangements are under the direction of Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home of Jonesboro.

I’m so sorry for the families loss ~Kathy was a wonderful person and a strong dedicated wife and mother .I feel blessed that after many ,many years we met again here in Trumann and was able to share a laugh or two about a makeup party that Brandi 5 and my daughter Davida 2 1/2 I cried ! Kathy jumped right in and saved the day !!!!

My heart goes out to Kathy’s family. I remember her as a sweet, kind person when we were in school at Nettleton. I’m sure Deborah Shaw was there to welcome her to Heaven. Prayers offered for comfort.

I loved my aunt Kathy more than i could have ever said or showed. Brandi has been my cousin and best friend for as many years as she has been alive. I know she is in a better place. A place where she feels no pain. I love you all and my prayers go out to everyone.
