Joanne Marie Hawkins, 88, of Lamar passed away Monday, August 5, 2024. Joanne was born January 18, 1936 in Iowa to Mr. Peter and Susie (Peterson) Sandholdt. Ms. Hawkins was a nurses aide who enjoyed spending time outdoors and taking shopping trips to go treasure hunting. Joanne is preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Debra Sue Jennings; one grandson, Anthony Gonzalas; one brother and one sister.
Left behind to cherish her memory are two daughters, Diana (Jimmie) Mansfield of Batesville and Judy (Brian) Mullins of Oark; two sons, Jason Hawkins of Knoxville and James (Rebecca) Hawkins of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; her dog Oscar; fourteen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 2:00 4:00 p.m. Sunday, August 11, 2024 at the Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside Services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 12, 2024 at the Patterson Springs Cemetery with Bro. Cully Tate officiating.
