Melvin was one of a kind. I got some good stories that I laugh everytime I think about them I'm filled with joy. Melvin was a true friend to many and you knew if he was your friend. The last time I saw him was at the truckstop in Ozark Ar. He came over and visited with my wife and I.

What an honor it was to know and work with Melvin. You just never knew what Melvin was going to say but whatever it was, it was going to be funny. Melvin loved his family beyond compare. He had the biggest heart and the kindest soul and always seemed to actually care about the people he worked with. He was one of a kind and will be greatly missed. RIP friend. There will never be another like you.

Papaw Melvin always treated me like one of his own grandchildren, and I am proud to have known him and spent many Christmas celebrations hearing his contagious laugh and silly jokes. He’s the orneriest man I’ve ever met and had a heart of pure gold. I’m sure he’s up there in heaven now making Jesus laugh! Sending all our love and prayers for comfort during this difficult time.

Melvin was one of the nicest, funniest man ever. When I used to cut his jar, I always enjoyed our conversations. No matter where I would run into him at he always had a great big smile, sometimes kind to say and something funny to tell Terry later.
