of Mountain View, AR
January 1, 1952 - July 30, 2024
Darrell Richardson, 72, of Mountain View, Arkansas passed from this life on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born January 1, 1952 to Lonnie and Annie (Cain) Richardson in Mountain View, Arkansas.
Darrell was a lifelong farmer in the Signal Hill Community where he raised cows and chickens on the over hundred-year-old Richardson Homestead. He worked at the Townsend chicken plant in Batesville for several years-an experience which made him forbid his kids from ever having chicken nuggets.
Darrell enjoyed listening to blue grass and folk music on the square with his dad. He loved taking his kids camping, hunting and fishing. He treasured the time spent with them creating countless memories. Darrell never met a stranger, as anyone who knew him could tell you. He always had a kind word, a smile and often a witty comment or two to start or keep a conversation going with everyone. Darrell was also a volunteer fireman and he was very active in the local scout troop, teaching them to appreciate the outdoors, how to start campfires with pine knots, cook over an open fire and paddle a swamped canoe.
Left to cherish his memory are his two sons, Brant Richardson (Amanda) and Daniel Richardson; one daughter, Jennifer Brinkman (Grant) and three grandchildren, April Brinkman, Rebecka and Tank; along with numerous loving friends and family members.
Darrell is preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife of 17 years, Carrol (Daker) Richardson; son, Kurt Richardson; sister, Patsy Goins; step mother, Dora Richardson and step sister, Dora Ann Wroblewski.
A visitation will take place Thursday, August 1, 2024 from 6:00 PM- 8:00 PM at Roller Crouch Funeral Home Chapel in Mountain View, Arkansas. Funeral Services will be held Friday, August 2, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Roller Crouch Funeral Home Chapel in Mountain View, Arkansas.
Pallbearers are Lonnie Clark, Danny Fleetwood Jr, Braiden White, Jeremy Goins, Jimmy Wayne Foster and Wade Verser.
Roller Crouch Funeral Home in Mountain View, Arkansas is in charge of the arrangements.

So sorry to hear of Darrell’s passing, he was a wonderful man. Darrell and I started first grade together and he graduates with Sandy and me in 1970. Last time I saw him was in 2019 at the Picking Park in Mountain View, he was with Lonnie listening to music. He was always cheerful and fun to be around. Sandy always appreciated his positive attitude. We will both miss him!

I am so sorry to hear that Darrell has passed away but happy for his going home.
We were High School classmates and have been friends with him and his Sister Patsy Richardson Goins for many years and was blessed that we attended and worshiped the Lord at the same church the last 20+ years.
Darrell always spoke and had a smile for me when we met. He and Patsy are with their parents now after a long separation. Praising the Lord together.
We will miss you at our next class reunion next year but you will not be forgotten Darrell.
To the family, I will be praying for you to have comfort from the Lord.
