Davis Edward Franklin was born on November 12, 1965, in Conroe, TX. He grew up in East Texas until he joined the Air Force in 1984. During his military career he rose to the rank of MSGT, earned his MBA, as well as received many awards and commendations. Davis retired after 20 years in the Air Force and continued to work in the civilian sector until settling in Conway, AR in 2022. Davis was involved in many activities, including his church, the American Legion Post #629, hunting, and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone who asked.
Davis is survived by his wife of 38 years, Elizabeth Franklin; his two sons, Davis Franklin, Jr. and Donald Franklin, and daughter, Kelly (Franklin) Eckert. He was Papa to 6 grandkids, Mason, Keaton, Scarlett, Violet, Berdella, and Finley, and honorary father to Laura Rittenhouse.
He is also survived by his father, William (Dub) Franklin; his mother, Maudi Willis; two brothers, Charles Franklin and Brian Franklin, and one sister, Lisa Turner and many nieces and nephews.
Davis will be remembered for his willingness to help, love of hunting, and ability to read stories to his grandkids.
Funeral Services will be held at 10am, Saturday, August 3, 2024 at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Conway, AR. Burial will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park in Conway, AR.

I am very sorry for your loss. Although I only knew Davis for a couple years, he was a good friend who was always willing to help any way he could. We will miss him in our small group as well as deer hunting.
Enjoyed the times he would ride with our group the Romeo Riders. Which stands for Retired Old Men Eating Out.

Davis will truly be missed by all of us at Eastside Baptist Church. Our hearts ache because he will no longer be with us, but we are joyous that we will see him again one day! Our prayers are with you and all his family. We love you!

Hearing of Davis' passing hit me hard. Although I only knew him a short time he made an impact on me for the good. He will be missed at our small group where he would always bring his father in law Jack. I will miss his tales and the laughter that would follow at deer camp. I will miss our discussions.
