of North Little Rock, AR
September 20, 1963 - July 29, 2024
Donald Ray ''Donny'' Woods, 60, of North Little Rock (Marche Community) passed away on Monday, July 29, 2024 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock. He was born September 20, 1963 in Little Rock to the late Thomas Moore ''Woody'' Woods and Jackie Sue (Kelley) Woods.
Donny was a 1981 graduate of Oak Grove High School in Marche; where he played both offence and defense football for the Hornets and was on teams that went to win the 1981 AA State Playoffs. He was a collector of Mustangs and hot rods and his vintage Broncho.
He was employed by Davis Transfer and Trucking and was considered by the Davis family as extended family; he really enjoyed working for them.
To say he loved anything outdoors was an understatement. An avid fisherman, he loved hunting and frog gigging. Spending endless days on Peckerwood Lake, Grassy Lake and the Arkansas River boating and living his best life. He spent many days of deer season at S&S Hunting Club at Bills Town, Arkansas among other hunting clubs. Regular days he spent at the ''farm'' on Jendrejas Road in Marche. He was known to put on fish fries for his family and friends.
Donny loved his family and leaves to cherish his many memories he created throughout his life his son, Tyler Woods and husband, Jordan Koonce of Little Rock; his daughter, Hayley Dawn Woods of Cabot, Arkansas; his mother, Jackie Woods of North Little Rock; his grandson, John Thomas ''J. T.'' of Cabot, Arkansas; his brother, Ron ''Bubba'' Woods of North Little Rock; a very special aunt, Celesta Waters of North Little Rock and cousins, John Waters and Jennifer and children, Reed and Carson; Tammy Goldberg and Sean and children, Kelley, Reigh Anne, Josey and Kasey; nieces, Brittany York and Andy; McKenzie Lawrence and Hagan; great nephews, Madden and Knox York; great-nieces, Gracie Mae, Charlotte ''Charlie'' Rose and Frankie Rey who is on-the-way and a host of special friends who enjoyed spending time hunting, fishing, hanging out and grabbin' a beer. Donny made an impression on so many who loved him and will be deeply missed.
The family invites you join them for a visitation to celebrate his life this Friday, August 2, 2024 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Roller-Owens Funeral Home and ask that you please come in comfortable appropriate summer clothing of shorts, flip flops, etc.
A celebration of his life Cook-Out/fish fry will be held on September 21st at the family farm where he spent so much time throughout his life.
My best memories of Donnie where his younger days at Grandma and Grandpa Kelly's. He spent a lot of time with them.

One that will be missed!!! Many of night we spent frogging or riding 3wheekers/4 wheelers running from game wardens!!! Very fond memories!!!
Donny was a great man , Godspeed and prayers for the family, you will be missed by many my friend.
Marche's finest. Donny was a pillar of the community. He was a good man. Never minded helping a friend. He recently helped me take a couple garage doors down in a building I was salvaging. He refused to take any money for helping. Very few good men like Donny Woods left in this world. I delivered his favorite beverage later since he wouldn't accept payment. The Lord took a good man home. I'm proud to be able to say I was his friend. May he rest in peace.
Bubba, Jackie and family I’m so sorry for your loss. You are all like my own family and my heart hurts for you. Love you
Great memories of that smile and the many times I was welcomed in Marche by him and friends. Hugs to all!!
We are gonna miss yo. We love you brother.
