Louise Ann (Crutchfield) Turner passed away quietly into our Lord's embrace on July 22, 2024, in Searcy, Arkansas. She was born July 24, 1924, in St. Petersburg, Florida, to the late William R. and Lottie (Thompson) Craven. She was raised in Tampa, Florida, by her mother and step father, George N. Crutchfield. She was preceded in death by her brother, John R. Craven.

Louise was the beloved wife of Charles E. Turner, with whom she shared 76 years of a loving relationship and marriage. Louise is survived by one daughter, Kathryn (Turner) Overton and son-in-law, Elliott D. Overton. She is also survived by her nephew, John Craven, and two nieces, Nancy Craven and Kay McCulley.

Louise attended Hillsborough High School in Tampa, Florida and was graduated from Brenau Academy in Gainesville, Georgia, where she was a member of the National Honor Society. She received a B. S. Degree in Home Economics from Brenau College. She was on the Dean's List, was a member of Tau Sigma dance fraternity, Chi Sigma Epsilon chemistry honorary and an officer in the Home Economics Club. Louise also remained an active member of Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority until her passing. She spent most of her working career as a home economics instructor. She thoroughly enjoyed sewing. As well as basic sewing techniques, she excelled at teaching tailoring and drapery making.

Louise was a loving, devoted wife and mother, as well as a loyal and supportive friend. She and Charles were always active members of the Episcopal Church. They lived in Richardson, Texas 34 years before moving to Searcy. She was known for her wonderful sense of humor and amazing memory. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services will be held at Trinity Parish Episcopal Church, 200 N. Elm St., Searcy, Arkansas on August 3, 2024, at 11:00. She will be buried at the church following the service.

Louise was always so sweet, kind and gracious and a wonderful woman and inspiration. We know that Louise is with our Lord who has been gracious to her and granted her long life. We Pray God continues to bless you Charles and we send our love.
