Many fond memories of Virginia & family. She was friends with my sisters Mary Ann & Susie. While growing up in West Helena I remember going to church with her, Lois & others in the Smith family. She nicknamed me Miss Priss & would tell me hi when I saw her. Loved her. Know family & friends will miss her. Sympathy to all the family. Cherish her beautiful memories.

There isn’t one day that I can remember existing before Ms Virginia came into my life. So, so, so many memories of time spent with her and at the Alexander’s home. She rocked me, ‘tickled’ my back, sang to me and read to me when I was a little girl, as she kept me while mom and dad worked. She was my safety net and my go to when I was sad or scared. I remember so very much about her from what she smelled like to the toothpaste she used. My heart broke into a million pieces when my parents called me with the news that she was no longer on this earth. Ms Virginia, you will live always in my memories and FOREVER in my heart! Thank you for helping to raise me when I was young and thank you for loving me like you did. That little girl will NEVER forget you and your ever present smile!!! Beverly and Brother - So many memories flood into my mind as I learn this. What a fun person she was and always happy and friendly. She gifted me the prettiest Bible Verse painting/frame for my wedding with the loveliest hand written note to me on the back. I "presented" it to my youngest son and his wife on their wedding day and it hangs in the entry of their home. I think of her every time I see it.
Psalm 127 - Unless the Lord Builds the House- They Labor in vain who build it.
I'm certain Ms. Virginia lived by this verse and is in her Heavenly home. Prayers for you two in the coming days. Alisa

I had the good fortune of meeting her son, Brother, upon my arrival at the University of Arkansas to start the 1981 football season. Miss Virginia (as I knew her) was a fun loving person that treated us all like we were somebody important. She was a true Southern Belle and someone my mother always thought so highly of.

May she rest with Bud in the Peace of God for eternity!

Beverly and Brother--Melody and I love you both and we are so very sad about your Mom's passing. She was Aunt Virginia to us, but she was also my second Mom. We have nothing but wonderful memories of Aunt Virginia over many, many years. Even though she has passed from this life, we know she is with Uncle Bud and all of her family in heaven.
