Billy Ray Troutman, 78, of Jonesboro passed away Monday, July 22, 2024 at the NEA Hospital, Jonesboro. Bill was born on March 8, 1946 in Jonesboro to Ray and Kathryn Troutman. He was of the Christian faith. Bill was a retired Captain for the Jonesboro Fire Department, after serving the city for 23 years. He went on to own an Electrolux Vacuum business for 25 years. Bill enjoyed woodworking, fishing and collecting firefighter memorabilia.
Preceding him in death are his parents and his loving wife of 48 years, Carolyn Troutman.
Those left to cherish his memory are his sons, Nick (Karen) Troutman, Adam Troutman; daughter, Tammy Troutman; grandchildren, Jessica Frankenberger, Jasmin Day, Jordan Carlow, Christopher Troutman and Ryan Troutman and fifteen great grandchildren.
Graveside service will be Friday, July 26, 2024, 12:30 pm at Pine Log Cemetery with Nick Troutman officiating. Family will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Schmidt, Tony Keller and Jesse Lambert.
A memorial visitation will be from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Roller Farmers Union Funeral Home prior to the service.

We are so sorry to learn of Billy’s passing. I spent time with Aunt Kathryn as a young child and have fond memories of Billy. Ron and I are praying for you and all the family.
I loved Bill when I was a little girl growing up. He was always nice to me. I had fun trying to get him to laugh. I usually made it happen. Good memory.
