Christopher Patrick Ramsey, age 61, passed from this life on Tuesday, July 16, 2024. He was born December 21, 1962, in Little Rock Arkansas. Chris was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Rita Ramsey, and brother, Dean Ramsey.
At the age of 8, Chris and his family moved to Harrison, Arkansas where he became a proud Harrison Goblin. He enjoyed playing football and basketball and continued to support the Goblins throughout his life. Chris attended the University of Arkansas but returned home to work in the family business, Ramsey Landscape Nursery. Chris's skills in landscape design and marketing greatly contributed to the success of the business.
Chris met the love of his life, Joni, in 1995. They got married on December 13, 1996, and went on to have two girls, Katelynn and Madison. Chris was dedicated to serving his community through his service at Ramsey Nursery as well as playing a pivotal role at the Harrison Convention and Visitor's Bureau. He did sports photography for the Harrison Golden Goblins, was a member of Rotary and Chamber of Commerce, was on the diversity council for FedEx, worked on The Task Force on Race Relations of Harrison, Arkansas, and volunteered at Share and Care, Sharing Kitchen, and Salvation Army. He served on several committees as a member of First Christian Church for many years.
Chris had a real talent in photography, ranging from sports to senior pictures, with the outdoors being his favorite. Chris was also able to express much of his creativity in landscaping. He enjoyed his Sundays going to church and having family dinners. He was an Arkansas Razorbacks super-fan and you could almost always find him in some kind of Razorback gear supporting his favorite team.
Chris was a good man who loved his family more than anything. He would do anything for anyone at any time. Chris was a devout Christian and this was directly reflected in the way he loved others. His favorite thing was spending time with his family. He was selfless, had an unmatched sense of humor and always looked out for those he loved.
