Ron, his daughter’s “Poppy”, was a dear sweet man that I met almost too late! Only recently have I had the honor of getting to know Ron along with his amazing wife, Phyllis, on only a few occasions but it felt like I was one of the family by the time we only had a few conversations and encounters. But the truly memorable times I saw him in the nursing home, did I get to understand how much he loved his family and how much they loved him! It was a privilege to see him interact with them and how tenderly they cared for him. Thank you, dear Ron for showing, just a friend of his daughters, your example of a wonderfully caring father and friend! God speed in your next adventure, fly high as an angel now not needing your plane!

Ron was more than the first driver my Dad ever hired. He was a close friend to my family. I've heard the 'tales' and the 'lies' as he and Dad would say. He went above and beyond for our family in work and friendship. He was unique and one of my favorite people to hear tell stories. I know I'll dearly miss him but I'm glad he is at peace in his final delivery. Hoosier Transit owes that man a lot of gratitude. A friendship for me that started at a dining room table in my house when I was in college. A friendship that meant the world to me after my Dad passed. Phyllis and family, we offer our deepest condolences and love.

Ron was a great employee with always a great story to tell. Two days before 9/11 my wife and I were at the Phoenix Airport and someone walked up behind me and pecked my on my back and I heard “hey buddy can you spare a dollar for some coffee” It was Ron coming back from
Delivering buses. He was a giver and helped lots of people. He even came out to my house and helped me change a flat large tractor tire, all the time telling funny. I know he will be greatly missed. I’m so sorry for your loss. I will be praying for ya’lls family.
