Jack Damon Ruple, Sr., 71, of Conway went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 12, 2024. He was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on February 10, 1953. He was the son of Marvin Worth Ruple and Lois Tedder Ruple Plant.
Jack was a loving father and grandfather. He received his law license in 1979. He worked as a law clerk for all trial court levels including Arkansas Supreme Court. He was appointed Master in Chancery for Pulaski County and retired as Division Chief of Research and Training at Pulaski Prosecuting Attorney's Office after working there 22 years.
Jack loved God and often posted sermons on Facebook. He also loved spending time with his family and researching family genealogy. He was a caring neighbor and friend who was always there for the people in his life.
He is survived by his son, John Ruple and his wife Karah; grandson, Logan; and brother, Jimmy Ruple and his wife Lavonda; nieces and nephews, Steven, David and Suzanne.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Susan Hamner Ruple and his mom, Lois Ruple Plant; dad, Marvin Ruple and stepdad, Jake Plant; half siblings, Gladys Tedder, Walter Lee Ruple and Jerry Lee Ruple.
I was very sad to hear the news. I enjoyed working with Jack at the PA Office for many years. I still have the 2 PA Office cookbooks he created . We were all a very close knit group at that office. More like family.
Prayers of comfort for Jack’s family and friends.

This is a great loss to the community. He was a great researcher of my children’s ancestors and a pleasant and friendly person. I only met him a few times but I certainly learned a lot and appreciated his enthusiasm for county history.
Our love and prayers for your family. We have sweet memories of our friends, Susan and Jack, from church and Sunday School.

Jimmy and Jack’s family,
My condolences for your loss. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Jack was a special man who was loved and respected. Melanie and I spent many fun filled times playing with Jackie and Jimmy in the backyard of Aunt Lois’ house as kids. There was always fun and laughter.
Jack was successful throughout his career and placed the same hard work and dedication pursuing the history of our families. He was an inspiration.
He shared stories about his love of genealogy, his grandson, gardening, and the wildlife he loved.
He will be greatly missed but we can rejoice in his arrival in Heaven with our Lord and many loved family members who have gone on before us.
Rest in love dear cousin.
To Jimmy and all of Jack’s family, my heartfelt condolences, love, and prayers. Wonderful memories of playing in Aunt Lois’ backyard when we were kids. Playing in tires, digging to China, and many more fun things! On a more serious note, I know Jack is in the presence of Jesus and all of our family. May the Lord bless and keep each of you in the days ahead .
John, we are so sorry for your loss. Both your parents were special friends we enjoyed spending time with in Sunday School and choir. The last time I spoke to Jack, he stopped to "harass" me (Marsha) as he drove by while I was walking down Rose Drive. Prayers for comfort and strength.
John, I am so sorry. I am praying for you and your family. You are loved.
Precious Jack. What a life well lived. You will be missed on this earth but oh, what joy you must be experiencing right now.
John, my husband (John) and I are so sorry to learn of your Dad’s passing. We were a year ahead of your parents at Central High and like Tamara, I am a second cousin. Your mom, Lois was my grandmother’s (Katherine Meeks) niece and she styled her hair for many years. I can remember going to your house in Hillcrest with MamMaw when I was very young. Jack and I reconnected several years ago on Facebook & I share an interest in genealogy. Our prayers are for you and your family to be covered in God’s comfort and peace.
PS: Logan is so precious & I know Jack was so proud of him!
I will miss you , jack and I pray someone takes care of your wildlife , and pet's. You are at peace, now ,but, you leave behind the one's who loved you.May comfort and peace help through this time.
I knew Jack through genealogy. He was an excellent researcher and did a tremendous job of identifying his ancestors. The last time I saw him was in Walmart last month. He was just as much fun as he always had been. From behind me in the check-out line, he reached into my shopping cart and slipped an item out - I turned around and it was Jack! We had a good laugh. I hope he meets some of his more elusive forebears in Heaven and asks them why they didn't leave more records behind.
Dear Jack , what a wonderful self made man .I will miss our Sunday call's ,you always told me of the new wildlife ,especially the baby bluebirds and humming birds.and sent picture's of the rain , giving your flower's drink's of needed rain and your Castle for the chicken's and picture's of you drinking coffee on your beautiful patio.
You will be missed forever we love you Jack.
John, I am so sorry to hear of the loss of you dad. You don't know me but your grandmother, Lois, was a niece to my dad, Christopher Columbus (Bud) Tedder. I would see Lois at my Aunt Katherine Meek's home in Little Rock. Jack and I were facebook friends for years thanks to Linda Gray Trujillo. I loved when he shared family history. It put a lot of family in place for me. You are in my thoughts and prays.
John, I am so sorry for your loss. I loved talking with your parents and playing together when we were kids. I spoke with Big Jack not too long ago and it breaks my heart, he was such a wonderful person. You are in our prayers cousin.
Dear extended family: My Mother was Jack's grandmother Lera's sister. I am so sorry for your loss. I took Mom to meet Jack several years ago to discuss family history. Remember playing with him when we went to see Aunt Lera when I was a child. You are in my prayers.
