Jimmy Dee Green, 80, of Mayflower, AR ran his final marathon on earth and peacefully passed away July 13, 2024. He was born September 5, 1943 to Clarence and Ora Green.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his wife, Pat Green; son, Gregory Green; parents, Ora and Clarence Green and his sister, Trivelene Strauss.
He loved going to the SR citizen dances, "Taylor's Made" for karaoke, socializing, playing dominoes, having meals with his friends and family and in his younger years, running. He was loved by all and always had a story or joke to tell.
Jimmy is survived by his children, Joe Green and Jana Green-Fornash; grandchildren, Addison Green, Aidan Fornash; brother, Clarence Green Jr; sister, Dorean Garrett; his cousin, Tamra Gentry who was more like a sister to him and his special friend, Sonia Bell. He also leaves behind a host of other family, friends and running club friends. He never met a stranger and will be greatly missed.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at 6:00pm at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway. Visitation will be prior to the service starting at 4:00pm.

We all will miss Jimmy,he was a wonderful friend to so many people! He was a dynamic dancer which everyone loved to dance with him! Will miss his kindness and love for all of us! Will miss his smile as well as his love for people! Sonia Bell and Jimmy were beautiful couple! Love both of them! My condolences go out to the family and friends! Jimmy was a great and gentle man. We graduated from high school together in 1963. I remember his great sense of humor. I pray for his family to find comfort. I am assured that he is resting in the arms of the lord

Jimmy always had a smile for all and joke to tell. Early morning runs were made brighter because of his love for life and all of us. I and others will hold our memories dear.

To say Jimmy was a friend is to sell, who he was to so many, so so short.

Jimmy always showed kindness to all. The first day I showed to run with the Conway Running Club he greated me like a long time friend. Special people.like him are a rare jewel. He will be missed.
My sweet Jimmy Dee the first time we met was at the Friday Night Dances at the Senior Center in Conway. You were such a great dancer. You had a great sense of humor and a smile on your face that would light up a room. Your stories will be forever remembered in my heart. We ended each dance with a I love you. So, for now my sweet Friend, I love you till we meet again.

I met Jimmy the first time on a Tuesday night dinner outing at US Pizza with Sonia, Donna , Georgetta and Bill. Jimmy all made me laugh and such a gentlemen. When my mother and I walked in he would always get up and give us big hugs. Jimmy would tell the funniest jokes. I also loved to listen when he talked about his farm animals. Jimmy was a special man. I always looked forward to our Tuesday gathering. I will miss Jimmy but will keep him in my heart remembering all the laughs we had. Jimmy enjoy your next venture and will see you again. Love Bernie
