of Alexander, AR
May 16, 1961 - July 7, 2024
Everette Milton Hatcher III, 63, of Alexander went to be with the Lord July 7th, 2024. Everette was born May 16th, 1961, in Memphis, TN, to Everette and Jane Hatcher. Everette attended Evangelical Christian School of Cordova, TN, where he played basketball and ran cross country. After graduating from ECS in 1980, he went to college at Memphis State University (now the University of Memphis) and graduated with a degree in business administration in 1982.
In 1983, Everette moved to Little Rock to work in the broom business alongside his father and his late uncle, Harold Hatcher. That same year he met the love of his life, Jill Sawyer, at First Baptist Church in Little Rock. With commitment in their hearts, the two wed on December 7th, 1985. To this union four children were born. Everette took pride in providing for his family. He did so working at the family business, Little Rock Broom Works, for 34 years. In 2017, he sold the family business and took a job at ADEQ with the State of Arkansas. He also served as a Justice of the Peace in Saline County from 2015 until his passing. He was a dependable, hardworking man no matter the job at hand.
Everette was a faithful member of Fellowship Bible Church. He lived a life of great faith. Jesus Christ was his rock and because of that, he was steady and unshakable through the storms of life. He was a wise counselor and encourager to many friends and family members. Everette wanted everyone to know Jesus and was ready to tell anyone he met about the hope of our Savior. He led many to Christ in his years on this earth. He passed this strong foundation on to his family and his legacy will live on through them. Many will come to know the hope and love of Christ because of the foundation he laid.
Everette's greatest joys were his kids and grandkids. He rarely missed a ballgame, a school event, or a weekly lunch date with them. He attended many concerts and sporting events with his sons. He was incredibly proud of each of them and if you were to spend any amount of time with him, it was easy to see.
Everette is survived by his parents, Everette and Jane Hatcher; his loving wife, Jill Hatcher; four children and their spouses Everette (Rett) and Kari Hatcher, Hunter and Ashley Hatcher, Murphey Iradukunda, and Wilson and Camille Hatcher. Four grandchildren, Luke, Olivia and Ray Hatcher and Hannah Grace Iradukunda, and a grandson, Jospeh Everette Hatcher due in November; three sisters and their spouses, Vicki and Robert Parks, Beth and Brian Sayle, Nancy and Mark Daniel and many nieces and nephews.
In Lieu of flowers please send memorials in Everette's name to Project Zero, PO Box 25436, Little Rock, Arkansas 72221, www.theprojectzero.org
Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm, Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at Roller Drummond Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will follow at 11 am, Wednesday, July 17th at Fellowship Bible Church in Little Rock.
So sorry for the loss of Everette. I was sooo blessed to meet him and see what a great Christian man he was by his wonderful wife Jill, and I met some of their children. What an amazing family. What love. You all have been in my thoughts and prayers. Much love to all the family , the love of God bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. The love of God never fails.
We are hurting with y’all for your loss of Everette. Praying for peace, comfort, and the Lord’s nearness in the days to come.
Thanks be to God for His work of grace in the life of Everette Hatcher. I have been told that I have taught over 4,000 students at Evangelical Christian School, but Everette has to be one of the most unique of them all. A broom maker, but also an effective apologist for the Christian faith, Everette understood the lordship of Christ over all of life. Observing his passion for truth simultaneously with a genuine compassion for people, like Carl Sagan or Antony Flew, would have warmed the heart of one of his heroes, Francis Schaeffer. In like manner, Everette's "long obedience in the same direction" brings joy to this former teacher. Soli Deo Gloria!
Everette Hatcher was an angel on earth before flying high with our Lord and Savior! He loved and cared for his family and friends and always that beautiful smile on his face that extends to his precious God loving heart! Everette had so much more to do on earth but God honored him with a place in heaven next to God’s throne!
I know how difficult this time is for Jill and his family and I pray for God’s blessing and peace for the family! Please know that someday we will all be together with Everette rejoicing in God’s glory! I love you Jill and Hatcher family!
Our prayers are with you this evening and tomorrow and in the coming days, weeks, months, and years. What a wonderful man, husband, and father. Thoughts of Heaven and the wonderful time he is having now. What a legacy! We so enjoyed his visit in Burbank. With much love, Angela and Rodger Bumpass, Burbank, California

So sorry to hear about Everette’s passing. I grew up with the family in Cordova, Everette was a few years older than me. Praying for all the Hatcher family.
What a lovely man! He will be missed.
A good and decent man whose life touched many. His influence and example will continue to live in the hearts of those of us fortunate enough to have known him.
It has been such a great pleasure to watch Everette’s devotion to the Lord and to his family throughout these many years. He was truly a Man of God. We are sorry to miss his celebration as we are out of town with our family on vacation.
Dear Jill and Family- we are so very sorry to hear of Everett’s passing. We are fondly thinking of our Bryant baseball and football days with the boys. He was so good to get us VCR tapes! He will be missed- love and prayers for you in the coming days
The message Sunday morning at Everette’s Fellowship Bible Church was perfect for the week of his celebration of life. It centered on Proverbs 22:1 and the importance of reputation. Everette left his family with treasures far more valuable than gold or jewels. He left them with a good name...his good name...and the example, love, and memories that came with it.
Our prayers are for your family. May God’s peace and mercy guard your thoughts, and your mind. May good memories bring a smile to your face. May God’s provision be there for you.

Jill and Hatcher family,
We are so sorry for your loss.
We have only known Everette for less than a year but quickly grew to love and appreciate his energy and zest for life. He was a blessing to our small group meetings in our home.
Everette’s love of the Lord and his family was always apparent in his conversations and his legacy will always live on in each of you.
With love, Chris and Debbie
My wife Mary Beth and I just learned this evening of Everette’s passing about a week ago. We met him last December and learned about his battle with cancer. Subsequently, we placed him on our church prayer list (The Gathering, in Arkadelphia.). Our church family has been praying for him since. While saddened that he is no longer with us here on this Earth, we celebrate the fact that he is today in Paradise with Jesus with no more sickness or disease. We do pray for his whole family that the Lord’s peace will be with them at this time and that the Comforter will come along side each of them to lighten their load. We found a true follower of Jesus Christ in Everette. Thank you Lord that we were blessed to know him.

We are so sorry for your loss! Everette was a special man and will be very missed! Prayers and hugs to the family
Kim and I enjoyed living next to Everette and Jill back in the 90’s. We raised our boys together. Everette and I shared a love for Bryant Hornet football, and we enjoyed a strong faith in the creative account of God’s word. Kim and I offer our sincere prayers of comfort.

Everette was so kind to Larry (Speaks) and loved to talk to him about Jesus. I feel sure they have been having some discussions in heaven! To Jill and family, please know you have been in my thoughts and prayers through this journey. " Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." John 14:27 May God comfort you all in this difficult time. Love, Cassie Speaks Donnelly
Everette Hatcher was truly one of a kind. He brought laughter and joy everywhere he went. He was a mentor and friend to all of us who had the privilege of working alongside him. Thank you Jill for sharing him with the world. We will miss you, Everette.
My father was not only the best father to me, but he extended that love to my sweet daughter, Hannah Grace. She often told people she has two daddies.
(My father and her father, Regis).
My father is always someone I could come to for hugs, love, attention, compliments, instruction, advice and so many things.
Hannah Grace would describe my parents as her family. We were a family of four in a very happy home.
We miss his presence deeply.
We know he is kicking up gold dust in heaven.
Jill, I am so sorry for your loss of your husband Everrett. He sounds like a wonderful man. ( I keep up with Gretchen on Facebook.)

A man after the Lord’s heart; Everette will be so missed. He never lost an opportunity to share Jesus. I know our son Sam will always treasure the memories Everette made with him and Wilson…road trips and so many laughs together, not to mention a Godly mentor.
Love you all and praying for your family.
Everette will be missed by all who were lucky enough to know him. I never met a more humble, kind, and considerate man. I'll never forget all the times we shared at the Saline County Republican Committee - he always made me feel like family.
