Virgil ''Bo'' C. Turner, 86, of Beebe, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 8, 2024. He was born March 5, 1938, in Crabtree (Possum Walk), Arkansas to the late Ed C. Turner and Hazel E. Palmer Turner. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Betty J. Turner; his son, Chris C. Turner; daughter, Susan G. Turner; brother, Lowell Turner; niece, Sonja Turner, and sister, Viola Keaton (Wayne).
He is survived by his son, Mark Turner and daughter-in-law, Florence; grandson, Lucas Turner; sister, Jo Turner; sister-in-law, Carolyn Turner; 2 nephews, Michael Turner (Edie) and Brent Guinn, and one niece, Sherrie Horn (Ronnie).
Virgil was a long-time member of the Union Valley Baptist Church in Beebe. He retired from Cummins Mid-South after 40 years and was a volunteer fireman for the El Paso Fire Department. He enjoyed trout fishing, hunting, activities associated with the fire department, repairing broken equipment (most of the time), and tasks involving the use of his little Kubota front end loader. Most of all he loved spending time with his family, especially with his grandson, Lucas. Bo will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00am, Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at Hunter Hill Cemetery in Clinton, Arkansas. Donations to Conway Human Development Center is recommended in lieu of flowers. Click link here CHDC
Bo was my Dad’s best friend all through school. I am so very saddened to hear of his passing. Maybe he and Daddy (Billy R. Tester) have been reunited in heaven once again!
