Gary Wayne Hill, age 73, of Little Rock, AR passed away on July 1, 2024 in Little Rock.
Gary was born in Little Rock, AR to Morris Hill Jr. and Katie Allmond Hill on May 10, 1951. He attended Little Rock Central High School and graduated in 1971. He was an All American for the football team all 3 years he attended Central High and was also a part of the Central High baseball and basketball teams. He played softball throughout his life and was on several winning teams thru the years which lead to him being inducted into the Softball Hall of Fame in 2023.
In his later years he enjoyed golfing, spending time at Oaklawn and enjoying weekends at the lake. His best times though were spent enjoying time with his family and all the various activities everyone was involved in. He spent the majority of his career in the oil industry as a regional sales manager. He was loved by not only all of his co-workers but every customer he came to know. He was recognized as one of AMP's 50/50 in Arkansas Money and Politics in 2024.
Gary is survived by his 3 children, Aimee Murders (Brian), Courtney Hill and Matthew Hill (Riley); Grandchildren, Haven Hill, Aidan Harrell, Ryan Hill, Merritt Hill and Step-Grandchildren, Baylee Murders and Lenlee Murders; his significant other of 30 years, Jeanette Hill; one brother, Raymond Hill and Also, his sweet dog, Cooper, who he shared many nightly treats with.
Funeral service will be held at Roller-Alcoa Funeral Home in Benton, AR on Saturday July 6, 2024 at 11:00 am. with Pastor Bobby Howard officiating. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park, Alexander, AR at 1:00 pm. Visitation will be held at Roller-Alcoa Funeral Home in Benton, AR on Friday July 5, 2024 from 5:00-7:00 pm.
Memorial donations in Gary's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital (262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN, 38105) and/or Youth Home of Little Rock (20400 Colonel Glenn Road, Little Rock, AR, 72210).

Coach Gary was a big part of my life for 3 years as a kid. He coached me in basketball. Those are memories I will never forget. RIP coach

I coached Gary at Little Rock Central his senior year he was a great athlete in many sports. In the last three years we have enjoyed many days and night with him and Jeanette. Glad I got to visit him in the hospital last week. Never believed I would be seeing him for the last time. My wife Doris and I have been blessed to have Gary in our lives. Our prayers go out to Gary’s family and Jeanette.
We will miss you!! I will miss the texts and conversations throughout the day. You were a very close and dear friend.
