Alex Blake Coney, 28, of Benton, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday, June 24, 2024 at his home. Alex was born in Little Rock, Arkansas to Teena Latture (Vasquez) and Shane Coney on December 8, 1995.
Alex attended Glen Rose High School and played football from 2012-2014. He played on the offensive line and Middle linebacker while helping the Mighty Beavers go on to Little Rock to play for two state titles two years in a row. Alex graduated from Glen Rose High School in 2015 and was proud to be a Beaver. Even after graduation Alex continued to go to work out at the arena.
After graduating, he pursued his passion of mechanics. Alex was known well for his mechanic abilities and how he could fix just about anything. Alex was always with his best friend and mentor, Joel Southworth, working on cars. Alex was employed at Landers Dodge in Little Rock.
Alex is survived by two beautiful children, Chandler Joann Coney of Pea Ridge and Wyatt Tatum Coney of Benton; his mother and dad, Teena & Burton Latture of Rockport; Brothers, Dillon Coney of Benton, Nicholas Coney of Jacksonville, Connell and Caden Latture of Rockport; four nieces and nephews, Hazen Blake Coney of Hope, Zaelyn Adel Coney, Brayson Zane Coney and Harlynn Alize Coney of Malvern. Alex is preceded in death by his daughter, Riverlynn Grace Coney; maternal grandmother, Earlene DeLassio; Paternal grandparents, Tony ''Poppy'' Ingle, Jeanette Ingle and great grandparents, Clifton and Effie Bozeman.
Visitation will be held at Roller-Alcoa in Benton on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at 1:00 with Celebration Life following at 2:00 pm. Honorary pallbearers are the 2014-2015 Glen Rose Football team.

Sorry for the loss.definitely praying for the family at this time. Spent many years being a friend and your barber and I hated to hear this after the many years of private conversations we’ve had. You’ll truly be missed. I just hate that your gone it still feels unreal.
