Betty Rogers, 80, of Paragould, AR passed away Friday June 21, 2024 at her home. She was born January 21, 1944 in Paragould to Roy and Lurdene (Ray) Austin. Betty was preceded in death by her parents and four siblings, Leroy Austin, Lounell Quinn, Maedene Henry and Jimmie Mae Austin.
Betty is survived by her husband of 62 years, Wayne Rogers; a son, Doug Rogers; two daughters, Joanna (Bobby) Wallis and Ginger (Dan) Grahn of Paragould; four grandchildren, Brianna (Matthew) Jadwin, Rose (Jared) Pearson, Anthony Dailey and Shainna (Canyon) Idol and two great-grandchildren, Nova Pearson and Aynsley Jadwin.
Betty was a homemaker and retired from Monroe Auto Equipment after 35 years. She was an active member of the Brookland Church of Christ where she completed numerous mission trips. In their spare time, Betty and Wayne loved to travel. They have been to 49 states, everywhere except Alaska. Betty loved to garden, collect Fenton glassware, cheer for the Cardinals and drink coffee. She was known for her Mississippi Mud cookies and homemade fudge. She loved spending time with friends and family and spoiling her grandchildren.
A funeral service to celebrate Betty's life will be held Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at Brookland Church of Christ with Tony Pulliam officiating. The visitation will begin at 10:00 am with the funeral service to follow at 11:00 am. The burial will take place at Pine Knot Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the care of Roller Farmers Union Funeral Home in Jonesboro, AR.
